Because of increased safety & logistical concerns as well as the need for cultural sensitivity preparation Learning Partners (LP) for the international programs need to have extensive international travel experience, preferably in a leadership role. Additionally, foreign language skills as appropriate are very helpful. The LP for an international ABP trip is expected to partner with the student trip leaders as part of the leadership team focusing on pre-trip preparation for a cultural immersion experience.  Please incorporate references to your previous travel experiences and any language proficiencies in your answers below.

Your answers below are used by our student trip leaders to catch a glimpse of who you are.  They will use this information to determine whether or not to request an interview with you.  Please be candid in your application to aid the students in making their decision.

Your application will be placed in a binder for the trip leaders to review. Learning Partners may initially be contacted by several trip leaders. The goal of initial conversations should be to get to know each other and to find out trip information (destination, issue focus, lodging conditions, etc). Trip leaders should be specific when they are asking a Learning Partner to actually commit to a trip. Once a Learning Partner commits to a specific trip, they will be removed from the list of potential LPs and other groups will not contact them. The decision to commit to a trip should be mutual.  Thanks for submitting your application!
